In the context of the Skadar Lakehikingproject, the Climate Canvas is used to identify, evaluate and develop strategies to mitigate and adapt to climate change risks and opportunities. Vranjina is a village in the center of Skadar Lake National Park, located west of VranjinaIsland. Lake Skadaris the largest lake in the Balkans, with an area of 40,000 hectares. The town has typical Mediterranean architecture and customs, narrow streets, stone houses, and churches. Beautiful natural landscapes surround the village, including lake Skadar and the mountain chain. In order toincreasetourismtraffic and extend the season to winter, local non-governmental organizations and enthusiasts initiated a project to expand the network of hiking trails to connect villages with tourist attractions such as the famousVranjinaMonastery, the lakeside viewpoint, and the village's famous 12th-century bishop's seat.
