World Economic Forum: UN Chief Calls for 'Clean Energy Revolution'

World Economic Forum

"Revolutionary action" is needed to achieve sustainable development, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told the government and business leaders at World Economic Forum in Davos. The UN chief issued an urgent warning that the past century's heedless consumption of resources is "a global suicide pact" and time is running out to ensure an economic model for survival.

Leaders at the World Economic Forum are embracing the new perspective of the Global Adaptation Institute that puts "adaptation" at the center of world climate policy, says the institute's CEO, Dr. Juan Jose Daboub, a former managing director of the World Bank.
